St.Mary's of the Lakes School basketball coach John Myers presented the 1st annual Patrick F. Monaghan Basketball Award. The award was given to Chris G. an 8th grade player who exhibited dedication to his team, enthusiasm of the sport and a positive role model. The Monaghan family was honored to participate in the presentation. Patrick had played basketball at St. Mary's for 5 years.
St. Joseph's Preparatory School Freshmen Basketball Coach Joe Donahue presented freshman player David C. with the Patrick F. Monaghan Desire Award. The award represented Patrick's commitment to his team, his pure joy of the game and his aspiration of achieving that perfect three point shot. Thanks to Coach Donahue for your positive influence and encouraging Patrick to be the best he could be. He had a wonderful year playing for you and his teammates . One of Patrick's dreams was to become a basketball coach and to carry on your inspiration. |

Matt - Your dedicated performance in West Side Story was a true standing ovation. Your paintings, drawings and sculptor of Patrick are most precious pieces of art. Our son was lucky to have become your friend.
Jason- Your words of poetry we will treasure forever. Patrick was in awe of your talents and was proud of your accomplishments. Thanks for dedicating your performances in Bye Bye Birdie...Patrick use to do a great rendition of "You gotta be Sincere".
