Special Thanks
Thank you to the 6th grade students of St. Mary's of the Lakes School. Your donation to Habitat for Humanity will be used to send teenagers from our parish to Western Pennsylvania to build homes. Over 30 volunteers will attend this week long excursion.
The Monaghan Family would like to express their gratitude to the students and staff of Medford Memorial Middle School. The chairpersons for this fund raiser were 8th grade students Colin, Lisa, Darrielle, Ali and Guidance Counselor Ms. Hower. A special thanks to the Coach Rourke and the girls field hockey team. And an additional collection by team 6-2 and Mrs. Brown. Over $1,500 was raised for the Ronald McDonald House in Camden, NJ. Rory is in the process of furnishing and decorating a bedroom called "Pappy's Room". Patrick had a love of golf and Rory will decorate the room with a golf motif in her brother's memory.
A special thanks to Patrick's friends at St. Joe's Prep for selling ribbons and collecting donations of over $1,400 towards Patrick's Place. The contribution will go towards building a house with Habitat for Humanity in Beverly, NJ. Hopefully, this will be the first of many homes that we will build in Patrick's name.
Patrick was an active member of St.Mary's of Lakes Jr and Senior Youth Group. D Romvary and Kathy Ellis your dedication and hard work is truly appreciated by the Monaghan family. Patrick loved spending time with you both and have the opportunity to be with his friends at the various functions and meetings sponsored by the Youth Groups. The Senior Youth Group membership has doubled in recent months, Patrick would be so excited that his friends have continued his work.
It was a cold rainy afternoon and Maura and Brittney went door-to-door collecting money for Patrick's Foundation. They raised over $200.00 This is a true spirit friendship, Rory and her family thank you - Patrick would be proud.
St. Mary's of the Lakes School in Medford, NJ conducted a fund raiser Friday, May 16, 2003. The coordinators of the event were 7th grade students: Tim, Stuart, Ryan and Kevin. They presented to the Monaghan Family a check in the amount of $2,358.00 to be used for the construction Patrick's Place. A special thanks to the Principal Sister Justina and the teachers. Patrick was a 2000 graduate of St. Mary's, he was active in Battle of the Books, Mini Model Congress, Band, Yearbook Committee, Student Council, Basketball, and Soccer. Click here for a picture
