Habitat for Humanity

 

Patrick F. Monaghan Foundation is happy to announce our Partnership with Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia and Montgomery County.

Patrick's Place III was  featured in the  Bon Jovi  music video "Who's Says You Can't Go Home". The song in on the their latest cd "Have A Nice Day"!  The Nov. 7th issue of People magazine features an article about Philadelphia Habitat for Humanity and Bon Jovi.  The pictures were taken inside Patrick's Place III.   

 2008 Volunteer Dates

We are scheduling volunteers for Philadelphia and Norristown.  Please double check your schedule before reserving a date.  It is Patrick's Dreams responsibility  to supply Habitat for Humanity a full work crew for each day. Volunteers are scheduled on a first come basis so please try not to cancel.  7 Volunteers are needed for each day.

Patrick's Place V located on 4200  West Stiles St. in Philadelphia.

Patrick's Place VI located at Jacoby and Green Norristown, Pa.

CALLING ALL HABITAT VOLUNTEERS:
 Here is another special opportunity to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity
 of Montgomery County assisting with a very important mailing which we need
 to complete this Friday & Saturday here in our office.  Saturday is an
 ideal day to sign up if you're between the ages of 16-18!  In total we
are looking for at least 6 volunteers each day, so if you have a group who
can participate on either or both days -

we need volunteers between the
hours of 9am & 4pm this Friday 11/14, and

between the hours of 9am & 3pm
 on Saturday 11/15.

We have been offered a donation of furniture for our Restore by the
Doubletree Hotel in Philadelphia.  We are in need of (4) volunteers to help
organize and make room in our warehouse on

Saturday, Nov. 22nd 9am-11am.

  • A confirmation email will be sent to you.
  • All volunteers must be registered.
  • Space is very limited so it is important that we have a controlled crew size.
  • Crews will be limited to 7-10 per site
  • Arrangements may be made for larger crews to work at various sites on the same day

    Directions to Patrick's Place V in Philadelphia and Patrick's Place VI in Norristown will be email to volunteers with the registration confirmation.  Building site may change due to construction timelines please check your emails for address of worksite.

    These are some of the details for volunteering at Habitat of Philadelphia.

    1. Volunteers Days - Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday
    2. Working Hours 8:30am - 3:30pm
    3. No half days are scheduled and it is very important to arrive at 8:15am so you can be transported to the project site by 8:30am
    4. Please bring Lunch, Water Bottle, and Snack (Lunch is not provided)
    5. Must wear closed toe shoes - work boots
    6. Dress for the weather elements - many projects do not have heating
    7. No one under the age of 16
    8. 16 - 18 year old volunteers must have signed permission slip
    9. Crew size is no more than 10 people at a Site
    10. All volunteers must clean up Site before leaving
    11. Be considerate of the families in the neighborhood
    12. SAFETY first !!!!
