September 2005 Click below for a recent article on Patrick's Dreams in the Courier Post May 23, 2004 - Being for the Benefit of Patrick Monaghan. Thanks to St. Joe's Senior Michael Cunningham for organizing the concert. The Prep was rockin with the sounds of Hot Pants and The Sass-quash Militia Bands. The proceeds of the concert went to Patrick's Dreams. It was a great afternoon of fun and great music. A special thanks to the band member from St. Joe's and Merion Mercery. St. Mary's of the Lakes Class of 2000In remembrance of Patrick, a group students and their families from St. Mary's of the Lakes Class of 2000 gathered to dedicate two park benches. "Patrick Monaghan" "St. Mary's of the Lakes Class of 2000" The benches are located at the front corner of the basketball court at New Freedom Park. At the dedication, Mrs. Sheila O'Connell remarked that the benches represent the eternal union between classmates. On hand at the ceremony were Medford Town Council Representatives, friends and family. Patrick's teammates and friends enjoyed shooting hoops and shared a picnic feast. The students, that now attend five different high schools, reminisced with their 3rd grade teacher, Jackie Urban. The Monaghan family expressed their appreciation for the commemorative benches and most importantly the high school seniors gave the Monaghan family the most precious gift of all- their love and support. October 2003 - Dennis and Suellen attend the St. Joe's Prep Mother/Son Communion Breakfast. We had the great honor of meeting Jim Murray ,Co-Founder Ronald McDonald House. The St. Joe's Prep Mother's Club collected donations for the Ronald McDonald House. October 2003 - Many of the Saint Mary's of the Lakes YES Group who have volunteered at Patrick's Place also built a float for the Medford Halloween Parade. The Patrick's Place float won a "Honorable Mention Award" for the theme "Service isn't Spooky". It was a great sight sailing down Main Street. Thanks to all the helping hands. September 2003 - Friends unite for memorial golf tournament Courier Post Online by Ryan Reilly April 2003 - Patrick's Place was dedicated in Beverly, NJ. Thanks to the friends and family who volunteer their time to work on the house. Over 50 kids participated from 5 high schools: Shawnee, Bishop Eustace, Holy Cross, St. Joe's Prep and Merion Mercy. March 2003 - The St. Joseph's Prep Irish Culture Club marched in the Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Parade in a tribute to Patrick Francis Monaghan. The Monaghan family was honored to march along with Patrick's Prep brothers. Patrick had planned on attending the parade and he was looking forward to planning a trip with the club to Ireland. Patrick wanted to begin an email exchange with members of the Irish Club and his Irish cousins in Leap, Cork County, Ireland. |
